About the leather used
Name: "CHROMEXCEL / Chrome Excel"
Manufactured by: Horween / Horween (USA)
Tanning: Combination Tanning
Dye Color: Dyed finish, hill dye (brown core)
Finish: Pull-up
This is cowhide manufactured by Horween, established in 1905, located in Chicago, USA.
This leather has been crafted using the same method for over 90 years, with oils and fats blended into the original material and allowed to penetrate over time, resulting in a supple and dense texture, making it a sturdy leather.
Additionally, the rich oil and fat content allows you to enjoy color changes due to pull-up, which is one of the charms of this leather. (*Black does not change color.)
It is known as "tea core leather" because it is dyed only on the surface of the leather (i.e., it has not been dyed at the base) and is referred to as "hill dyeing."
