anshare is a leather goods brand from Okinawa.
We make leather goods using a combination of Italian leather, carefully selected domestic cowhide, and solid brass hardware.
In addition to small accessories such as wallets and key cases, we also make larger items such as bags.
Everything from design to production and finishing is carried out entirely in our own workshop.
Also, at the atelier shop near Kokusai Street in Naha City, you can shop while watching the actual production process.

anshare quietly started in 2008 in a traditional old house in Oroku, Naha City.

Products were not sold at this old traditional house.
Here, you'll find “CraftspeopleI selected items made by ” and ran an online shop.
After that, through repeated trial and error such as participating in Okinawa product fairs outside the prefecture and opening a retail store in Yaese Town, the current store came to be.Ukishima StreetSettled on.

Amid all that trial and error,I want to experience a craftsman's workThat was what led the owner to start making leather goods, and later the shop shifted from a select shop to a leather goods store.

Since photography had already been a hobby of mine, I wanted to make a leather camera strap, and this became my first leather product.
Leather camera straps are durable and become more comfortable the more you use them, with the color changing over time as they age. I came to realize that leather is not just long-lasting, but also a fascinating material that develops character over time.

After that, if I was satisfied with the finished result, I began displaying my handmade leather goods in the shop alongside items by other artisans.
As I became absorbed in creating leatherwork, new products kept emerging one after another, and before I knew it, the shop wasAs our original handmade items gradually outnumbered our curated products, anshare was born as a leather goods maker.

Starting out as complete beginners, we gradually improved the quality of our products as we built up our knowledge and skills, and now we can proudly recommend our products to customers with confidence in our craftsmanship.

During the Ryukyu Kingdom era, Naha was called "Ukishima" ("floating island") because it was an island floating in the bay. After the war, what is now Ukishima Street came into being, named after Naha's first hotel, which was called "Ukishima."
The name was given only 50 years ago, so its history is relatively short. Since then, hardware stores, barbershops, shoe stores, and pharmacies opened there, and it developed as a commercial district.
